As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the milestones that defined our year. We introduced the Husky A300, setting a new benchmark for what a rugged, research-ready mobile robot can achieve. We broadened our impact through the 2025 PartnerBot program, placing mobile robots in the hands of teams tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges. And from ICRA to ROSCon, we reconnected with the global robotics community at flagship events that continue to inspire our work.

Unleashing the Next-Generation Husky

One of our biggest milestones in 2025 was launching the Husky A300—the next generation of our flagship mobile robot, designed hand-in-hand with our customers. After years of feedback from researchers pushing the limits of field robotics, we heard the need for longer runtimes, more payload and more flexibility. The A300 answers that call. With upgraded power, expanded integration options, and a tougher, more versatile design, the A300 reimagines what a field-ready research platform can be.

On top of that, we also introduced the Husky AMP, an advanced variant of the A300 designed to help developers fast-track autonomous solutions. Built with integrated outdoor-ready sensors, onboard compute, and built-in outdoor autonomy software, the AMP version offers a turnkey starting point for teams looking to accelerate prototyping or deploy applications.

Empowering Researchers with PartnerBot

In January, we announced the 2024 PartnerBot Grant Program winners. Since its inception in 2012, ParterBot has been dedicated to kick-starting innovative robotics projects in fields that align with our mission: enabling robotics research that drives real-world impact and positive change.

This year’s program allocated over $100,000 in funding, across two categories – Academic and Developer. Prizes included three Husky A300 Starter Kits, one Husky A300 Autonomous Mobile Platform, and discounts on our mobile robotic platforms and a wide selection of robotics sensors and components.

PartnerBot 2024 awardees include teams advancing robotics in wildfire and forestry protection, sustainable farming and agronomy, lunar space exploration, and AI-driven autonomous navigation. Watch their award acceptance videos linked below.

Connecting with Researchers Around the World

This year, our team had the opportunity to participate in a number of impactful international conferences and tradeshows. Below, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorites.

ICRA

In May, we spent the week in Atlanta, Georgia for the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), IEEE’s flagship event for top researchers and industry leaders. With more than 7,000 attendees, it was a great place to mark one of the first public appearances of the Husky A300 and AMP. We hosted the Canadian Robotics Council (CRC) Evening Social, which brought together over 150 people. We are already excited and planning for what’s to come in Vienna, Austria for ICRA 2026!

Actuate

Actuate, a focused and high-caliber event in San Francisco, offered a valuable opportunity to engage directly with robotics developers. In September, we demonstrated Foxglove’s visualization tools running live on a Jackal UGV, sparking meaningful conversations with researchers and developers alike.

ROSCon

In October, we reconnected with the international ROS community at ROSCon in Singapore. Our exhibit featured a mobile manipulation demo showcasing a Kinova arm integrated on the Husky A300, along with a presentation on a robot webserver designed to simplify diagnostics. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Canada for ROSCon 2026 in Toronto!

That’s a wrap on 2025. Thanks for joining us as we look back on a milestone year—we’re excited for what’s ahead in 2026! Stay tuned!
