Considered to be the most renowned and advanced research and development platform of its time, we are excited to have the robot’s full designs available to download on our website. You can now access resources such as wiring diagrams, schematics, cable and assembly drawings that can provide the support that you need to sustain and expand on PR2’s capabilities.
Clearpath Robotics: Long-Standing Supporter of PR2
In 2009, Willow Garage launched PR2, a state-of-the-art robot with the ability to navigate unknown, human-shared environments, along with the dexterity to grasp and manipulate objects. The ground-breaking platform propelled research in fields of automation, manipulation and human-robot interaction. Despite being an open platform, its hardware and software are designed to ensure safety during operation, making it ideal for personal use. PR2 is entirely written in ROS, making its capabilities available through ROS interfaces.
Clearpath Robotics has been a long-standing supporter of PR2, with the intention of providing important resources to its users. On that account, we are thrilled to have all design files for PR2 available for download on our new documentation website. The hardware and 1000+ software libraries currently available for PR2 affirms new opportunities for robotics researchers to focus on. The PR2 design files are now available to download on Clearpath Robotics’ documentation website. The recently launched site also hosts documentation for all Clearpath Robotics’ robots, making it easier and safer for users to set up and get started with their systems. The all-encompassing documentation has user manuals, tutorials and guidelines for maintenance with additional information on software packages as well as sensor recommendations. With vast amounts of information available, the website is designed to be easily navigable. From setting up and maintaining your robot to finding the right sensors and software, the website has well structured pages curated to access the specific information you need!
