Clearpath Robotics is Named the 2013 Silver Edison Award Winner
The Edison Awards, celebrating 26 years of honoring the best in innovation and excellence in the development of new products and services, announced today that Clearpath Robotics was voted the Silver winner in the category of Applied Technology for Research and Collaborative Tools with the Kingfisher M200 Unmanned Surface Vessel at the Annual Awards Gala in Chicago. Clearpath Robotics Account Executive, Robin Albrecht, joined hundreds of senior executives from some of the world’s most recognized companies to accept the award on behalf of Clearpath Robotics.

On February 8th, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Network Program, funded by Industry Canada, announced a grant of $5 million for the NSERC Canadian Field Robotics Network (NCFRN), with an additional $5 million to be provided via in-kind exchanges of services and financial contributions from industrial and government partners. In a highly collaborative environment, the NCFRN will work to develop robotic tools able to navigate and provide a better understanding of Canada’s rugged, challenging terrain.

Clearpath Robotics’ Husky A200 Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) has joined Dr. Jean Hunter (Cornell University), Dr. Kim Binstead (University of Hawaii), and six crew members for a two week training session at the Mars Desert Research Station in Utah in preparation for the four-month Hawaii Space Exploration Analog and Simulation (HI-SEAS).
